The original photo for this painting was taken across the road from where our cabin was inside Hocking Hills state park. As I’m usually an early riser, I was prepared to photograph the scene as it started to unfold. It was painted using my usual trio of the funky chunky, my sculpting chalk, and smeary oil variants.
