This is a perfect example of what I wrote about in my article entitled “Light it up Dude“. The original photo had very flat lighting, yet when I took it I saw a lot of potential for a dramatic painting. This piece will probably mean different things to different people, but that was what I envisioned. I used my funky spatter brush, along with my sculpting chalk and smeary flat variants.
