Autumn Glow, Cleveland Metroparks

autumn_glow.jpg

One of the most important components of an autumn painting is that it has to have a “glow” about it.  The original photo was taken near Baldwin Lake in the Cleveland Metroparks, and the sharp back lighting was very helpful in portraying that “glow” I was looking for.  Funky Chunky, my sculpting chalk and smeary flat variants, and a little wet soft acrylic thrown in for good measure.
